How do I manage my OCD? Therapy is a meme. I get better sometimes then I always end up relapsing. It's an obsession with things being perfect/avoiding 'impurities' and also intrusive thoughts. There are also some strange things like not wanting to start something at a certain time unless the minutes are divisible by 5 and having certain rituals, but it's only a mild annoyance and this isn't debilitating.

I think I have mild ocd too tbh. Rituals and all. However it's too mild for me to care. You just have to be low inhib and tell your brain to fuck off

Be stronger than it. I used to think it was impossible to control my thoughts or emotions, until I had to or I'd be fucked. Now I know it's a bit possible.

Keep a journal and write down every intrusive thought in alphabetical order. Also if you turn off the kitchen light before the living room lamp you repeat the second letter that corresponds with whatever brand of bedroom lamp you have 3 times, but if you make a mistake you lightly tap the thumb and ring finger 4 times and say Ray Peat backwards (tape jar).

Not 100% scientifically proven method, but it might be worth a shot.

I have OCD. I have been struggling with it since I was 14 or 15, meaning I’ve lived almost half of my life with OCD.
