How to find friends to sit with at lunch?

Second day of new highschool as junior transfer student and ate alone once again. I cannot have the rest of the year be like this pls help. I have an option to tag along with this one kid I just don’t want to feel like i’m being a burden, unwanted and out of place.

Just don't give a fuck, if people like you they'll start engaging with you out of choice, I know it's easier said than done but it's far better than being the annoying kid who always invites himself

Does your school have any like extracurricular activities you might be interested in? If there are you should join those because you'll find a lot of people who are like you in those groups

If you're short and ugly, don't your hopes up, as brutal as it sounds

It was like this for me during 9th and 10th grade. But during 11th grade, somehow I randomly made two friends, and I got invited to hangout at their pool every weekend.

It’s kinda hard to not gaf when I have the gut wrenching feeling that it’s going to be like this for the rest of the year. I am looking into joining some clubs fs but there are no sports I can join rn that I am interested in. I am Lhtn aswell, might start quick adding potential girls from my school on snap and trying that out to at least take some initiative
