How to find high IQ people

I have had to cut contact with all my normie friends who I despised and had a poor relationship with. I am not particularly high IQ or intelligent, but I have a very high metacognition compared to the average person, and this makes it very hard for me to relate and connect with people who don’t share this trait and are easily influenced and enslaved by the environment around them, which is especially bad when they can’t even realise it. I want people not attached to dogmas, who can think independently and critically and have balls to be low inhib and have drive to do shit. Anyone have any idea where and how I can find people like this?

If you want to find friends who are introspective, and aren't confined to surface level thought.. then you might find success with people older than you

everyone around me seems to be concerned with meaningless things that I find repulsive and mind numbing, or if they are high iq their focus is in things I don’t care about (STEM and whatnot)

realistically stem careers are the only way to build a large amount of individual wealth without existing capital

i suggest you find the one you're most interested in and focus on making progress asap with your long term future in mind

well no I am not high iq myself as I said but considering I was in constant friction with the people I hung around with and they never liked me nor I liked them, it was more due to me being ugly and deathnik being the shared factor than any shared interests or personality

It is a common thought but I would say it’s more due to difficulty with finding compatible people, though for me it’s more difficult than others because the difference in compatibility is higher, most people around me are too attached to meaningless things (which is mainly obviously forms of cope and being influenced by other people without checking if their opinions and behaviours are based on their own volition which is fair enough you know but I realised I can’t deal with that) for me to be able to work and achieve mutual growth and good experiences. When you have to constantly police yourself and feel a disconnect around your friends that is not something I can take for very long personally

I am too low iq for STEM sadly, I also never had an interest in it. The only STEM I was ever good at was biology, but even then realistically the jobs available from a biology degree would leave me unhappy and suffering because it’s nothing I would want to do
