I been seeing alot of people asking "how do I fix my overbite" "only at a certain age you can fix it" Depending on ur overbite you can fix it at any age the only problem is how much longer it will take since your older. Many people don't understand that a overbite isn't skeletal or recession its just a misplacement of ur mandible. Back to how to fix it if your young most say a herbest appliance but that isn't as great since it causes retrusion. Forsus is great but it also causes retruison on ur maxilla which you don't want not saying it doesn't work but theres a option that has the same mechanics that doesn't cause retruison. Which is mandibular advancement wings. Mostly on invisliagn but works on braces as well, This simply causes ur mandible to jut forward the same as a forsus appliance but without the returison and the pull back of ur upper teeth. This will take longer depending on ur age as I said. But can be fixed any age but the earlier the better of course.

Doesn’t solve root issue of the maxilla being the problem/recessed. Only alignment

Hence why I said its just a misplacement of the mandible, not actual recession which if is your problem it cannot be fixed. Most people with overbites jut their jaws and try to make it a resting position, the solution I stated mimics a forsus/herbest appliance and juts the jaw forward without the push back of your maxilla. Making it one of the best ways to non surgically fix a overbite.

They said no to marpe as well? Fixing overbite isnt about growth left it can be fixed at any age since its just ur mandible misplaced. Not actual recession as I said multiple times. Its hard to find a ortho that cares about facial aestheics find airway based dentist or ortho. Those are the best

yes what your saying is literally what im thinking and what i want to tell these orthos, they said i can get MSE if i really wanted to, unfortunately they gave some fuckass 11k quote which doesnt make sense since my teeth are already aligned from a round of braces treatment so price should be closer to 5-6k. do you recommend i seek out other orthos in my area to get a mandibular advancement appliance installed?

makes sense is it 11k usd? Cause if it is that makes sense, Braces/invis is like 5k or higher alone and marpe is 5-6k so that seems like a resonable price. He wouldnt just give you marpe alone thats now how it works unless your fine with the gap.
