My maxilla has this assymetry on the left side where the premolar caves inside, and as a domino effect, it affects my midface width and cheekbone prominence. It's the only reason why I have a crossbite. If I didn't have this asymmetry I would just have a class 3. Could braces with TADS fix this, MSE or bone grafts? This is the best I can represent my issue with before sending pictures.

No surgery for this unless you want facial droopness if you do plan on removing the molars

Is there no way to erect the left side of the maxilla in order to be the same as the right, with the midface and cheekbone domino chain?

i didn't go on google jamboard to draw my palate to larp about it. Do you know what techniques a ortho/mfs would use to fix it?

I have a similar issue but perfect bite and ratios, the only way you'll fix the assymetries caused by it is implants.

in the bite, or in the soft tissue?

Guys could TADS fix the alveolar bone? I heard its a lot more moldable than the maxillary bone?

I’ve got no idea man but what I’d suggest is consume hard foods on the droopy side

I'm sorry dude, there's no possible fix for this. Sleep straight and not on your sides, that's pretty much you can do.

Got the same issue, corrective jaw surgery seems to be the last resort

What's the first? And if you are currently in the process of fixing it, then update me with what the maxillofacial surgeon/orthodontist says about your issue

Currently I'm nearly 18 so the orthodontist is giving me one sided class III elastics to pull my mandible back on the recessed side, I think due to the maxilla my jaw grew inbalanced too so i dont mind the half recession, this will probably solve my malocclusion.

I researched extensively and have the same domino thing as i had 13 upper teeth, i removed the intruding one to fix the bite (IK the con) but too much assymetry would've been unfixable, it's impossible to make up for one sided down-growth as the maxilla is done growing by 18.

MSE will pretty much intensify the asymmetry and will fuck up your nose base. I'm gonna go and get a symmetry corrective lefort 1 when I'm older as it's the only genuine way to fix it aesthetically.

Lifefuel tho as LF1 can improve UEE and it'll fix nostril assymetry, otherwise consider getting orbital support to fix any asymmetry left.

so you couldn't use elastics/tads to move the maxilla, or at least the alveolar bone, which is moldable to the ideal and symmetrical position? How about SFOT? If you fix the inward curve by piling up bone mass where it is missing bone mass, that would be an easy fix for the bite. Not so much for the maxilla, but a little asymmetry is something that can be overlooked.

I talked to John Mew in a facebook group chat about this and he says it can be reversed with the right orthodontist/methods. He didn't go further than that
