i have a lopsided face and idk how to fix it. I heard you can sleep on your back, chew food evenly. But is there any other way

naturally hopefully and if not. I might get surgery soon enough
While natural methods cannot permanently alter underlying bone structure once it is fixed after puberty, you can achieve long-term improvements in symmetry by addressing muscle imbalances and habitual behaviors.

Corrective Lifestyle Habits
Most facial asymmetry is caused by daily habits rather than genetics. Consistently adjusting these behaviors can lead to permanent structural improvements in muscle balance and soft tissue distribution.

Balanced Chewing: If you predominantly chew on one side, that jaw muscle (masseter) becomes larger, making the jaw appear wider on that side. Consciously alternate chewing sides or start every meal on your weaker side to even out muscle bulk.
Back Sleeping: Sleeping on one side consistently puts pressure on the face, which can weaken muscles and skin on that side over time. Sleeping on your back helps prevent uneven volume loss and sagging.
Posture Correction: Poor head and neck posture—such as leaning your head forward while at a desk—can strain neck muscles, which pull on the jaw and facial tissues. Maintaining an upright posture ensures balanced tension across the face.

Targeted Facial Exercises
Facial yoga and exercises act as "resistance training" for the face, strengthening underactive muscles to match the more dominant side.

Cheek Lifts: Smile widely with lips closed and use your index fingers to gently lift the cheeks toward your eyes. Focus more repetitions on the weaker side to build volume.

Jawline Resistance: Place your palm under your chin and press upward while trying to open your mouth against the resistance. This helps align and strengthen the jaw.

Tongue Posture (Mewing): Pressing your tongue against the roof of your mouth encourages proper jawline alignment and can improve lower face symmetry over time.

Natural Professional Treatments
If habits and exercises are insufficient, certain non-surgical professional routes offer more significant results:
Orthodontics: Misaligned teeth or an uneven bite are major causes of jaw shifts. Braces or clear aligners from specialists like Dr. Gowds Dental Hospital can realign the jaw naturally by shifting the teeth into their correct positions.
Masseter Massage & Gua Sha: Regularly massaging the overdeveloped side of your jaw with tools like Gua Sha can relieve muscle tension and reduce hypertrophy, according to experts at Amedics.

Orthognathic (Jaw) Surgery: Addresses significant skeletal discrepancies in the upper or lower jaw to create a more aligned structure.

Facial Implants/Bone Contouring: Custom chin or cheek implants can be added to improve balance and definition.

Fat Grafting/Transfer: A natural approach that uses fat from your body to fill in areas lacking volume.

Rhinoplasty: Reshapes the nose to improve overall facial balance.

Facelift/Brow Lift: Addresses asymmetrical sagging, laxity, or muscle imbalances due to aging.
Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery): Corrects unevenness around the eyes by removing excess fat and skin.

You can't without some fillers or surgery but if your teeth are crooked go to.he dentist so the chewing is even and maybe try sleeping on your back. Mark as solution pls
