in this thread I'm going to talk about:
1. causes
how to fix asymmetry
2. with orthodontist
3. on your own (I'm not sure if everything I'm going to provide works)
1) There are a lot of causes when it comes to asymmetry: not sitting straight, lifting heavy weight with mostly one hand, doing things asymmetrically and there is many other
2)
1. Airway-Focused / Holistic Dentists
These are general dentists who have pivoted their practices to focus on the relationships between the mouth, airway, jaw development, and overall body posture. They are the most common providers of ALF therapy. They focus heavily on how expanding the jaw using light forces can resolve asymmetry, improve tongue posture, and open up the nasal airways.
2. Functional Orthodontists
Unlike traditional orthodontists who might rely primarily on braces, extractions, or heavy mechanical expanders, functional orthodontists specialize in dental and facial orthopedics. They utilize appliances like the ALF to guide bone growth and achieve a balanced, symmetrical facial profile, particularly by working in harmony with the body's natural forces.
3. Neuromuscular Dentists
These practitioners specialize in correcting misalignments of the jaw, specifically dealing with the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and the surrounding muscles. Because facial asymmetry is frequently linked to a misaligned bite or jaw joint issues, neuromuscular dentists use the ALF device to decompress the jaw joint and gently re-center the lower jaw.
3)
If you noticed your body is asymmetrical and that means that your pelvis is out of alignment and your posture is probably bad too so you wanna fix all of these :
1. Anterior Pelvic Tilt (Frontward)
2. Posterior Pelvic Tilt (Backward)
3. Lateral Pelvic Tilt (Sideways)
4. Pelvic Rotation (Twisted)
(this is a simple thread but it gives you a lot of information)
