You should practice exposure therapy by saying greetings/farewells to people.

Then start slowly building up to light talks and discussions until you can have real conversations.

It takes time but you can definitely get to a good point where these issues stop existing

I remember when I was 16 thinking the reason I didn't have a great social life was because I was not confident or didn't have good social skills LOL
