Bro fuck these people giving one word answers. I'm gonna try to help you out. You're fifteen and have a clockwise rotated jaw that looks weak and recessed. You don't really need to consider jaw surgery until condylar cartilage activity has fully stopped and maxillary sutures have fused in the late teens. You might be at the tail end of your jaw's malleability; only a cone beam CT scan from your orthodontist can verify it. In my opinion, to fix your jaw before late puberty it's a two-step process: 1. correct your bite with DAMO braces, which use expansive force to align your teeth, and 2. an orthotropic appliance to correct your myofascial habits (can be surprisingly effective). So what I want you to do is ask your parents what insurance you have and if it will cover orthodontics, then go on ChatGPT and ask it to give you a list of airway- and expansion-aware orthodontists in your city/state/province that take your insurance. Call around and ask for a consultation. Prepare a list of questions and statements beforehand (also use ChatGPT), specifically tell them you don't like the angle of your jaw, it reduces your confidence, you get bullied, and it restricts your airways, and you're looking into potential minimally invasive orthotropic appliances and DAMO braces. If they tell you all that's wrong is the alignment of your teeth and you're just insecure, drop them. Inform your parents of the whole situation. Watch channels like JawHacks and Mike Mew to learn about jaw expansion and advancement and how important it is, and try to get your parents on board. Edit: another person said this is cope and I'm a grey like stfu. Another approach that only will work if your recession is severe is you can request a home sleep study referral from your orthodontist or OMFS and larp sleep apnea. When you do your sleep study drink alcohol before bed, sleep on your back with your mouth open and stuff your nose a bit. This can potentially flag you for sleep apnea which is a huge prerequisite diagnosis to justify double jaw surgery. You can say that you need double jaw surgery for sleep apnea to try to get it insured and considered for candidacy.

Hows he gonna afford that he's 15, 🥷. Even if it doesn't work wonders he wont need as much presurgical decompensation when he goes for DJS when he's older. Might as well mooch his parents as much as possible.

He's gonna save up and get it as an adult like everyone else
If what I suggested doesn't work than telling the OMFS when he's an adult that orthotropics and DAMO didn't work and he still has really bad recession can help get him candidacy. OMFS have huge demand and fire looksmaxxers as patients daily because their goal is aesthetic and they are emotionally needy/knowitall.

Most orthos will provide them but they come with an extra cost.
