Madonna/whore complex is exactly that. I've been with a woman who I treated like utter shit and thought she was scum of the earth only to think she might be the one the next day. It's only in retrospect that I can view things the way they really were. It was just another form of self destruction for me. I'm not a fan of modern psychology because it's hijacked by Redditard midwits, but it's worth looking into this specific thing.
