how to fix overbite?

im 14 and have a slight overbite, just a few mililiters, i didnt even discover it until few months ago, i will be wearing braces (idk if they will even fix it) but every dentist told me i should whait until i turn 15, is there anything i can do? (iv always had terrable teeth, i think that has to do with my slight overbite)

I had overbite and most of the dentists like mine, put braces on me and instead of making my jaw come forward they pushed my maxilla back jfl, fucking jews. Young age, fix your posture, neck posture, mew, correct bite, correct swallow. Fix shitty habits, as you said few millimeters wont be a problem

i am not a dentist bro i'm just talking about overall looks, more teeth are visible when the maxilla is wide. widening palate = wider cheekbones and better smile, it does not mean you will have more forward growth or better bite, it will not fix overbite or deepbite, thats another subject, thats why i told him posture is important for that, better posture = better forward growth

no, go to the dentist to get elastics on your teeth to correct the bite.
they are attached to the teeth, they correct the bite, they don't recess your maxilla.
