Also by some sort of moisture-based lip gel.

Don’t listen to the guys saying Vaseline it just makes your lips look worse throughout the day especially if you aren’t hydrated. Even chapstick isn’t that great from my experience.

That works if you want to exfoliate and get rid of dead skin but don’t do it too hard or it could rip the skin barrier.

Usually when my lips shed I just put them in my mouth and use my teeth to rip off or suck off the dead skin. Works pretty well for me

I have the laneige lip balm, it definitely works, vaseline made it worse for me, plus I noticed that if u don't sleep enough or sleep at 3-4am, it makes the lips more dry for me, then obviously drink 4 liters of water
