How to fraud height in hotter countries?

Going to Thailand in a few weeks. I'm not going to wear my regular shoes with lifts.
Any ideas on what sandals or slippers that give inches? (I'm 5'7) Open to suggestions.

everyone in thailand is like 5'5 you'll probably be alright, but for the most part you can't fraud height in sandals with no socks on without looking like a retard

Might just bite the bullet. Want to height max at most 2-3 inches.
I've heard sock insoles are very uncomfortable, you use them?

they're all short in those countries
