I am in my teens and yet have some pretty bad nasolabial folds, after doing some research i came to the conclusion that smile lines are caused by either bad soft tissue, poor midface support, or overuse of smile muscles over time. It can also be any combination of these. I’ve improved my soft tissue considerably after starting oral isotretinoin after realising that topical retinol doesn’t do much after a few months but it is a bit of trial and error. However my main question now after maxing out my soft tissue is my midface support. I have a pretty well developed face with a good jaw and zygos, however I believe my midface is uneven. This is just me self diagnosing because I noticed since my orbitals pop out and my premaxilla also sticks out forward, there’s a kind of sunken dip in my midface, with the deepest point being next to the sides of each nostril. To clarify this ‘dip’ is on both sides and is not asymmetrical I added a picture of Chico Lachowski as a reference point, we can see his zygos/orbitals stand out and there’s a dip in the structure and then his premaxilla pop out again.Mine is essentially like this but obviously increased contrast from orbitals to midface to premaxilla just above the mouth. And then I added another picture showing pretty much perfectly even midface growth and we can see how this even midface support sits under the smile lines very well which reduces their visibility. Something which top tier models have, they tend to have very good maxillary forward projection but most importantly even midface growth which is why their smile lines look very healthy and not visible. So what could I do to achieve even midface projection? Please no hardmax recommendations im not interested and im currently thumbpulling to focus on that even midface projection as much as possible even though of course I do realise genetics and environmental factors affect this.
