how to get a doctors referral for ct scan of skull

i need a referal from a doctor to get a ct scan of my skull, even though i have to pay for it myself. what do i tell my doctor i need it for?

you can go to the dentist's or orthodontist's and say that you have some troubles with your jaw, for example that it hurts a bit in one side while chewing. than he will check you and will say that you have to make ct. that's how I have done. but I had some real little problems, but it's doesn't matter
