Well I'm lying about working at a place for 1 year as a kitchen assistant (the manager is friends with my dad and agreed to do it). But still struggling.. idk what to do tbh, my resume is maxxed, however still having no luck because the jobs have 100+ people searching. Im 18 years old NEET btw.

Yea but I'm lying about working at a place already man, volunteering wouldn't make a difference to my chances.

then you have to link the skills and experience of that role to the one you’re applying for

Just make a good CV and apply everywhere. Eventually ull get interview and assuming NT, a job. I spent like a month or two and found first job at 17. Quit after a yr and took a while(5 months) to find another one.

It's over. I was autistic b4 working tbh, after being in customer service for a yr that disappeared. At my current job some old roastie HR lady liked me cus I was white and mogged the othern ethnics in group interview. They offered me not only a job but a day shift customer facing rather than nightshift FOB role.

Even in working world looks play a role, brutal reality.

Just say you are willing to do anything, and emphasize the word anything....

I'm ugly currycel xD

This may sound dumb but if you're good looking enough you should try modeling. I'm actually from Philippines but I got some modeling agency from UK to scout me. You should check them out, they even hire curries and beckies. https://www.modelsdirect.com/

honestly u are just fucked without connections. You are better of going getting an associates degree or learning a trade where you are guaranteed apprentice/work even before finishing up(all within less than 2 years and having an stable income). At best you would be the most lucky applying to a fast food(during this pandemic hit). Fast food is the best for learning social skills and getting experience. Right now the market is fcked.

Keep lying, most of the time they don’t check if its an entry job. If you get caught, just lie again with the next one

I think its similar everywhere, the two main things to note being its always a gamble, and it matters who you know. Thinking about it from a hiring managers perspective, they would rather hire someone that one of their good employees can vouch for, than someone who theyve never seen but has a perfect resume. I worked at the same bar/restaurant for many years and by the time I left, everyone working there was friends or related to someone else who was working or had worked there.
