It would have been much easier when you already had that one gf, your status is higher, and you feel more confident, it's very easy to just chat and flirt with girls without getting anxious if you succeed or not, and girls feel this, now if you are single you will tend to be more desperate and insecure in your interactions with girls.

You should stop being a cuck, but this is easier said than done. If you already have a girl, a lot of anxiety disappears and it's very easy to get another one, but if you have nothing the anxiety will hold you back. It's a catch-22 really.
