How to get back natural lip color

I have a naturally red lower lip but nowadays its relatively really dark , I follow a normal lipcare routine brushing my lips everyday apply vaseline, tinted vaseline when I go out ,spf protection . Is there smthng wrong im doing which is causing my lips to darken up
Ps : i dont smoke

like a very tiny amount if its for your lips but the spf lip balm would be better

Should I keep brushing my lips everyday then , gpt says I should drop brushing them for 3-4 week till I get my natural color back

brushing them would help but it isnt changing the root cause which would be the sun Id assume so basically just brush your lips and apply that lip balm
