How to get better sound quality when recording at concerts?

Cuz I think when the bass get too much my phone starts to make these weird popping noises

stand farther from speakers
avoid covering the mic
do not do digital zoom (it doesn't have anything special about sound but it looks like shit)
thats all you can do if you don't carry anything special with you
