How to get darker hair?

Without colouring them or damaging them. They're dark brown but I'd like to have like pitch black

Just don't wash them.

They'll become oily and get a "wetness" effect and will look darker.

Unironically a good idea but since I use clay to style them I have to wash them every now and then

Yeah, I mean I wash them with water. But they stay oily and such. My fault, rather should have said no shampoo/cleanser.

Yes I got that correctly but water doesn't remove clay
