Have you tried yet? (attempt before what I'm about to suggest)
If none of those work
So I used to have the 10% fluffy hair look I did the hat trick with a curling iron but people always told me it looked horrible I was trying to achieve fluffy hair but it just wasn't working so I did some research. This popular creator, Dillon L4th4m (had to put 4s bc it would censor it), was recommending perms I originally wanted to get a perm in winter of 2023 but disregarded it for some reason then I had the thought again in winter of 2024 then got the perm in January 2025. Dillon had a specific type of perm that made his hair more fluffy than curly. He called it the Dillon L4th4m perm.
What is the Dillon L4th4m perm
The Dillon L4th4m perm was a trend going around in late 2023 to I guess nowadays. Dillon revolutionized perms. Basically, the perm is loose instead of tight where you get multiple types of perm rods to make your hair more fluffy then curly. You can get this perm by getting purple rods on sides and back and getting a mix of purple and peach on top.
What I specifically do
I personally get on the very front like in my bang section like a row of tan so it flips up and gives you that fluffy desired look. How I style my hair right now is I just use sea salt spray, but I'll eventually drop a thread rating products on permed hair.
What to know before getting a perm
So you're gonna have to treat your hair properly, I recommend based shampoo and conditioning. However, your hair will eventually reach a stage whether it's dead and its unpreventable. Everyone goes through it myself included, for me it happened after my first perm. A warning sign is that your hair looks the curliest it's ever looked after being repermed for me it was my 5th perm. Everyone I've known has had this happen to them who's permed their hair, even Dillon the guy who popularized this hair went dead and so he cut it off and another big influencer Carter Folian had this happen to him. Now let me explain the Lance method to keep your hair as healthy as possible, wash your hair 4-5 days and apply a curl gel. Once your hair eventually reaches a dead state, I'd just cut the majority off and try and regrow it out it's what I did and it worked for me significantly.
Finally, results...
