My older brother has AVP, and I think I do too - although mine doesn't prevent me from going to social events more so I put work and other responsiblities off.

how u know u have this disorder?

impossible, try something else

i think the best recommendation is to hobbie maxx through either university club or meetup clubs. this is especially true if you find pure socializing - clubs, bars, parties difficult - as they lack a central topic or activity to focus on socially cf. hiking club, dance classes, photography club, choirs etc.
though tbh, I have given up on social interaction. what i really want, and what i think most males crave, more than friends, is a skill which is interesting, monetizable, something one can be validated for and something they can be proud of. so far i am skilless and this nags at my state of mind as an empty void left uninitiated with every waking moment.
to fix this, i am hobbie maxing. going to try 3 different majors, get back into music, read more and write.
OP may you should just hobbie max and after reaching some level of competency join a uni club or a meet up club.

Doing a lot of different stuff is the way to not being very skilled at anything, you got to be a monomaniac and pray that you are not mediocre at the thing you chose (or at everything at life, which the vast majority of people are).

the symptoms would match. Any social situation is stressful for me all my life and there are times when it makes it difficult for me to greet someone or ask for a completely simple thing.

Combine with meditation and yoga to increase serotonin and oxytocin.

social lubrication drugs like phenibut could help

Get high on meth and go to any place where there's lots of people around - coffee shops, raves, college campuses, etc. I used to even walk into vape shops and start talking with the cashiers and met a couple people this way. I even sold molly to one of them for a vape :lul:

Get the diagnosis, then get therapy.

Sertraline helped somewhat with my anxiety too but the sides there unbearable.

There's nothing wrong with your mind, you don't have anxiety or avoidant personality, you're just ugly, that's all!

For avoidant, introvert people who aren't social butteflies, hobbys and meetups are cope. You need to do something that you really enjoy and then you can meet people who like that too, which can lead to you seeing them in your free time too.

A soulless hobby or pointless meetups won't change anything.

If you have good friends, you will get confidence, which will motivate you to achieve other things too.

Jew psychiatrist said I needed it, I was rotting for months in my bed all day no shaving washing thinking about roping
My opinion is to never get diagnosed by a clinician, you don't want to have that written in your medical record, even if you are completely bonkers. Also people talk horror stories from psych wards and how hard it was for them to come out, wrong diagnosis, wrong medicines and so on.

you missed the train im afraid

be good looking and leave the house. people will gravitate towards you. if ugly, you can try really hard and go on those group activity things where people tolerate you for a bit.

so the solution is still being good looking. to that end, inject steroids and do the necessary surgeries

cope. I will pursue different hobbies and interests. Later i will specialize depending on which one I favors according to enjoyment, natural skill, earning potential and accessibility.
