How to get my orthodontist to get me a palette expander

Im 14 i had braces already when i was 10-12 and they did jackshit even while wearing my retainer my teeth still moved and now they are messed up a little, ive had no teeth extractions and from what i can tell my palette is somewhat narrow(even if its regular i want it wider) my plane is to get a palette expander and then braces or something again to get my teeth straight.

could possibly larp sleep apnea or say you’re a constant mouth breather but i would go in for a consultation if you believe your palate is narrow. but chances of getting it are very slim if they didn’t recommend it during braces.

Good. If you had, there would be 0 justification for expansion, as that would make room itself. Whatever you do, NEVER get extractions.

Say that you have sleep apnea, difficulty breathing through your nose, and difficulty chewing/swallowing due to your narrow pallet. They might try to do a sleep study but it's worth a shot. Maybe mention that you also want your smile to be wider.

sure, but if not referred by ortho he’d be paying out of pocket which he’s 14 so not gonna happen.

this could work considering my dad has sleep apnea and has to use a cpap machine at night
