how to get my parents to stop caring?

how would i convince/get my parents to not care as much when it comes to doing things, like i could just tell them im leaving and will be back by 9 with no, where are you going? and questions asked

yea my dad is the same way. Sometimes I want to just drive out and cruise, but he's like nah nigguh. You need to establish independence. Doing this at around 18-22 is ideal.
