last nuclear option, has the potential to fuck pretty much dozens of things in your body

you can look into b5 OP

You will always have acne issues until you use Isotretinoin.

Don’t listen to the fearmongering by retards and just take it.

Thank you
I have a thread on it, you can search my post history
essentially, b5 supplementation, stacked with 1 or 2 other supps, can reduce sebum production via a different mechanism than accutane
it's systemic as well, so it should work for things like backacne and chest as well

alternatively hop on fucking nandrolone and that will probably help as well jfl

Hop on trentinion its a retinoid mainly used for acne scars, but its cleared up all of my acne as well, it promotes skin cell turnover and boosts collagen production. You can easily get it prescribed on redboxrx, it's not as expensive or as nuclear as accutane.

finasteride/dut should also help acne as well, since DHT is a potent androgen, and sebum production is heavily influenced via androgens

another interesting pathway is estrogen, when I change up my cycle and my estrogen does a delta I always get acne
apparently there are multiple types derivatives of e2, some are more inflammatory some less, and DIM supplement should help convert e2 into the "good" estrogen metabolites, and not the "bad" ones

i havent tried DIM yet, but I've got it in mail
DIM should be most helpful for roiders imo

But I hear there are many bad side effects to it and can cause stomach issues
The side effect profile isn’t that bad if you’re healthy.

It’s super fearmongered

It’s an incredibly effective drug

that's correct, and the guy you're replying to is fucking retarded, because the replase rate of accutane is very high, especially when it comes to hormonal acne

OP look up accutane regression or relapse, many many people have to do multiple courses during their lives, so you have to take a massive gamble, fuck your eyes, fuck your digestion, and you dont even get rid of acne for good?

the side effect profile is fucking dogshit since it targets all oil glands, including those in your eyelids, and you will end up with permenetly dry eyes

Don’t speak in absolutes a small subset of people can experience MGD but it’s manageable and not common at all.

There is no evidence that isotretinoin universally causes irreversible gland destruction.

Many people even heavy users return to normal tear function.

@BasedCatholic another interesting option is topical anti androgens
this is again something for steroid induced acne, but look into something called winlevi cream
it's a new-ish thing, but the mechanism is basically the same as with things like ru58841, where you apply a topical anti androgen, and therefore reduce the impact of systemic androgens you have circulating in your body

the problem with these is how am I supposed to spread a cream, or some anti antrogen solution over my back? it's not convenient
but for face, chest and shoulders it should be useful

remember, you can stack these - you could even stack a very low dose accutane, like 10mg EOD or less, it's very poweful (and toxic)
you can reduce sebum production via several different meachanisms, this way I think you're less likely to get sides from each one (like if you go hard on the b5 megadosing you can start shedding hair)

just take accutane. you could also try retinol cream, its hella good for getting rid of acne

yeah?
take a look around a dry eyes forum, half of these mfs got it from tret or accutane
and MGD is also age related, you lose glands as you age, so if you fuck half of them when you're 20, when you're 50 you are much more likely to develop MGD, almost certainly I would say
stack that with heavy computer usage, and you've got a perfect recipe for MGD

you don't know what you're talking about

there's a literal entire study on it you idiot

you right I don’t really know what I’m talking about thanks for educating me.

it's important to stay on top of it, you can prevent a lot of gland atrophy with hot eye compresses, and other treatments
but the brutal thing is that the 13 cis retinoic acid does gene transcription, it signals to the glands on the gene level, not only to produce less oil, but to also produce oil of lower quality (like thicker for example, it degrades the oil quality itself)

accutane is simply brutal for the glands, and it's why I'm avoiding it as someone that's already on the edge of dry eyes, even tho I'm getting a lot of acne form my cycle

interestingly, I seem to tolerate tazarotene alright

Isotretinoin doesn't just turn down sebum production - it fundamentally reprograms how sebocytes function at the transcriptional level through retinoic acid receptors (RARs and RXRs).

The quality changes you're describing are significant: the sebum becomes more viscous and has altered lipid composition - changes in the ratios of wax esters, triglycerides, squalene, and other components. This thicker, altered sebum is actually part of why the drug works so well for acne, but it's also why people experience such intense dryness. You're not just making less oil; you're making fundamentally different, less effective oil that doesn't protect or lubricate the skin as well.
in 2025 there's never a reason to argue about this stuff, when we have AI at our fingertips that will tell us exactly how insanely toxic accutane is to eye glands

yeah, overdosing vitamine b5 and fucking you biotin levels is much safer then accutane! (sarcasm)
only high doses of vitamine b5, you can achieve a significant effect on sebum producttion

you can stack if with other supplements (I think NAC and alcar), in order to multiply the b5 efficiency
I take about a gram a day

fucking you other vitamine ratios
do you have a source on this? that 1 or 2 grams a day of b5 will "fuck my vitamin" ratios?
I think the only one that is affected is biotin, and this effect could be the reason for the "shedding" some experience while megadosing
