it honestly only stopped for me when i used shampoo/conditioner everyday. I always did that and always had good hair but at 18 i tried no poo in every way possible. I think no poo works in the correct environment but when you eat processed food, dont have the best air, best water, you need to appeal to these cosmetics. Unfortunaly.

head n shoulders classic does it for me

What shampoo do you use? Try searching for one with Ketoconazole, I use this and found out for me usually it's optimal to use every 4-5 days, keeps dandruff/shedding away while also keeping natural oils so hair look better too

None of the shit anyone here has said worked for me, wasted so much time, money and grey matter. All that was needed was a gut reset. Go to some good derma and check for intolerances if nothing works.

Fix your diet, use nizoral, condition/moisturize hair. Silk pillow case or use a fresh one every other day.

Supplement antioxidants to help with the inflammation and stop eating inflammatory foods or exposing your hair/skin to stuff that irritates it

i use head and shoulders never got any major dandruff again

literally that's it

You need to wash your hair everyday and have shampoo routine according to your hairtype
I have eczema/dandruff on my scalp and only shampoo every three days because I have wavy/curly hair
I also use a ketoconazole shampoo which you can buy at a pharmacy and they help against dandruff

You are supposed to use your ketoconazole shampoo less with time
You should only use it everyday for 1-2weeks and after that 2-3times a week for 4weeks
When you are done with all of this you should use the ketoconazole shampoo once 1-2weeks
I use every 6days because I have eczema

Nizarol/ketoconazole 2-3x per week rub into scalp leave for a while then wash off

Yeah I have very similar thing, not sure if it's eczema (dermatologist didn't know either) but my skin flakes on hairline and in ears, so it's definitely some kind of light eczema or psoriasis. So far I discovered using this shampoo every 4-5 days is optimal for me since on day 5-6 the flaking starts coming back, so I use it to keep it from appearing

Ahh I thought you meant you use ketoconazole 4-5 days a week
I’m stupid lmao

I had like extreme eczema on my scalp so they had to treat it with a strong steroid for 1week first
Luckily it wasnt noticeable so I didn’t care

See a dermatologist

tgel worked for me

Nizoral 2% is goated for dandruff

shave all of ur head, there will be no dandruff guaranteed

could be an allergic reaction too. something in your room or diet

high doses vitamin A for a couple days (50k-100k IU of retynil acetate/palmitate)
This works at least while you take it, isotretinoin works too
Would recommend lower end doses first, and research treatment duration and toxicity because the half life of vitamin a is much higher than isotret
I stopped isotret and symptoms are coming back
I might start taking vitamin a too or get isotret again
I haven't done much research but a protocol like this should work
10k iu vit A for 1 week, adaptation phase and side effects / symptoms check
30k for 1 week
Up the dose to 50k for 4 weeks, see if symptoms are decreasing
If no relevant side effects and symptoms are not decreasing or decreasing slowly, then go up to 100k for up to 4 weeks
Because of vitamin a accumulation in the body, I would decrease the dose after some time regardless, ideally to sub 10k as maintenance

look at no poo. there is subreddit about it.
