"I’ve been talking to this girl for a year. I’m 18, and she’ll be 18 in a couple of months. During this time, we’ve grown very close. One morning, her father saw a message from me. When he demanded her phone password and she wouldn't give it to him, he smashed the phone against the wall. Now, she is staying in a youth center because of it. She says she doesn't blame me, but I feel like it's my fault.

Today, she texted saying her phone would be monitored and that we’d have to talk less, but I know she’s lying—she’s been lying to me quite a bit this past month. I just replied 'okay' to her message.
