How to get tretinoin cream in the EU ?

In order to improve my skin, i would like to add tretinoin to my skincare routine. The problem ? These creams are not available without a medical prescription.

If I ask my dermatologist to prescribe this cream, will she do it or is it only given if the patient has acne ?
