oral minoxidil and massage your scalp once a day with some rosemary oil

your hair grows at a constant rate. minoxidil can help you increase the maximum length of your hair but not the speed at which it grows

Can I also take DHT blockers, or does it depend? My dad is balding, but luckily I’m not because of my mom’s genes.

if you're not balding there's no point in taking them. they won't make your hair grow faster (nothing will as ive already stated)

Repped thx bhai
you can also try using nizoral every week. it helps improve your hair texture and improves the skin quality of your scalp. minox can help with hair density since less hair is re-growing at any given moment (the same goes for all hair on your body if you take it orally)

Terrible advice. Prevention is better than cure. Everyone out of puberty should be on dutasteride.

Do you have one reason to preserve DHT, or are you just a bluepilled retard who thinks anything not found on a tree is evil?

dht clearly has a fucking purpose even in adulthood, especially related to your sexuality. increasing T by reducing dht also leads to more T being converted into E which can cause gyno and other issues. dut specifically has a much harsher risk-profile than finasteride meaning if you're not experiencing hair loss. taking it is fucking retarded. most importantly: it's unnecessary risk with 0 upside so what's the fucking point dumbass, you can just go on checkups to a trichologist every 6 months and hop on if needed

@chadisbeingmade @SlayerJonas why do I even bother anymore? Stroppy, know-it-all teens thinking they're intelligent.

or just get a colostomy to prevent colon cancer. you'd make a great doctor

I don't watch Clavicular; in fact, I call him a retard. You're genuinely stupid.

why do you need to take dut as prevention then instead of monitoring your hairline (and entire scalp by a trichologist) and hopping on if necessary? explain it

You don't need to. The point is that DHT post-puberty does nothing truly beneficial for you, so why keep it when it can only do bad? You then use whatever ludicrous extrapolation your skull could fathom and that was performing a colostomy out of fear of cancer. If you cannot reason prevention against cure, then you similarly can't reason cure against prevention. Prevention isn't amputation you utter retard. DHT was useful once in puberty, now you're an adult it isn't. You don't redline your engine everywhere because torque is useful on a hill, do you? Whichever institution accredited your maths degree should revoke it immediately. You're loaded with junk science and weak logic chains.

No, dutasteride doesn't turn you gay; the 5ARi side effects are almost entirely memes. You can look at when they got reported and it all started blowing up when they began to fearmonger it after it got added to the label. Gyno quite literally never happens. The effect it ever had on libido was always tiny and very far and thin. You need to get back on Reddit with your uneducated bullshit. Every adult should be on at least finasteride (strictly as a gateway because you're too scared to use dutasteride).

If you knew anything about biochemistry, you'd reason that DHT is going to be a liability hormone for 99+% of people. Tolerating DHT after puberty is unjustified unless you're the ~<1% poor bastards. You can individualise for the literally borderline zero population all you want, but it doesn't change that humans do not need DHT as adults in 99 of 100 cases.

thanks for actually explaining. but clearly dht does something otherwise nuking it would have NO side effects right? jfl i legit got gyno (confirmed by a doctor) from takin 1mg finasteride every day and had to blast tamoxifen to get rid of it. it had no effect on libido for me but clearly it can have an effect on libido/sensitivity in some people. im not fear-mongering, i think dht blockers should be used to prevent balding bc being bald is fucking fatal but if you're not experiencing active hair loss there's no upside to taking them when there's other preventative measures (trichologist checkups) you could take that would lead to the same result.

you're talking like dht blockers have 0 sides but that's not true. i think the risk profile is well-worth IF you have actual hair loss. taking it for prevention is RETARDED. that's the only point where we disagree.

DHT enhances nitric oxide, which is why there are those rare people that get ED when using 5ARi. PDE5 inhibitors exist anyway for them.

yes, but now you're compounding potential sides. again: NOT something you'd wanna do IF you DO NOT have hair loss yet. worth only if you are showing signs of hair loss

Inhibiting both type 1 and type 2 isoenzymes benefit you in other ways than just prevention of hair loss. Anyway, @imontheloose said, the chances of getting any sides are close to none.
