develop the habit of checking time, like your timepiece or phone, every 30 minutes. that way when you're dreaming you would check the time and realize it's a dream. once you're aware, you can bend reality as you wish(be careful though as sometimes realizing you're dreaming will wake you up instead of gaining control)
