How to have connections on linkedin when you're a nobody?

Since I decided that I want now to take my life more serious, I reactivated my linkedin but since I have no connections and nobody knows, it's kinda pointless to still use it. So how do I get connections?

Its just a fake artificial way to make connections because you’re rarely gonna actually talk to the person
