How to have connections on linkedin when you're a nobody?

Since I decided that I want now to take my life more serious, I reactivated my linkedin but since I have no connections and nobody knows, it's kinda pointless to still use it. So how do I get connections?

it’s useful if you actually make meaningful connections and if you have questions to get into a specific industry you can ask them to people who are currently in the industry. The actual amount of connections don’t matter most people on there don’t do shit with the connections they have
