How to have even load when mastic gum chewing?

just take 2 pieces and put one on each side and if youre chewing properly it should stay the same hardness but if its not then get a glass of ice cold water and leave the gum in there for 30seconds-1 minute. itll be harder then it was when you first chewed it. not for any longer though because itll just shatter in you mouth if its in there for too long
