Yeah obviously, you're not and you shouldn't but he doesn't see it that way, he took his time and thought and ultimately decided to commit and in the end he's going to succeed if he really wants to ur just going to make it more painful for him and increase his chances of ending up with a disability or other injury and hurting others in the process

Thats crazy man. Now here's the thing about ur friend

He is beyond "just hang out and hope it gets better" territory. Your priority shouldn’t be to cheer him up socially but to make sure he is seeing a psychiatrist or mental health professional. Keep staying around him and showing that ppl care

Well obv he planned to do it at the sleeppver because he thinks very fond of you guys atp ask him what his plan is to khs and either A convince him to go to a therapist (very unlikely could lead to negative outcomes) or if that doesnt work B guide him into a safe way that doesnt leave him disabled or injured or hurts friends family or other people (like blowing his brains out wouldnt really make his friends and family happy) or C report him to a mental institution so they lock him up and make sure he doesnt kms (not recommend he will hate u forever)

professional help is the best shot tbh

my 1st gf was suicidal, she had depression and it was all worsened by her being a type A career driven girl that couldnt study properly because of having ADHD. im pretty sure she had BPD as well

after months of psychologist care and taking psychiatric meds she improved tenfold, it was night and day. she started being able to study for hours on end and became the best student of her class in the most prestigious business school of the country

you need to try to persuade him to go to a neurologist or psychiatrist who will prescribe him appropriate treatment.

maybe he will need to go to the hospital, because the first weeks of getting used to the treatment are the hardest, and with his constant obsessive desire to commit suicide, things will only get worse for him. someone needs to look after him for a while and then it gets a lot better. I speak as a person who is on antidepressants.

first of all, you're most probably going to get very unserious answers if you're gonna post this on someplace like this site

then the most you can do is try and get all your friends, including you, to have him sit down and talk it through with him, find out what really is causing him to behave that way. a real heart to heart could do too, if he doesn't want all of you around, which might overwhelm him. it's hard to say what will "help", stuff like this differs from person to person. but simply put, identifying the root cause or problem is good for a start

at the end of the day it will be his choice your best shot is have him open up and talk and inspire him. if he has any passion about anything that could keep him alive but sometimes people as if the situation they are in is so bad that being dead will actually act as a relief its very case dependent.
