So first let's define what is your base
Your base is how good you look before looksmaxing and your potential for future looksmaxing.
How good Your base is is decided by two parts Your looks floor and looks ceiling let's define both of them
1- your looks floor is how good you look before looksmaxing.
2- your looks ceiling is the best you can look with softmaxing and as little hardmaxing as possible.
An example of a great looks floor.
Sam dezz
Him in 5th grade
Him at 14 years old
As you can see he already looked like a chadlite (debatable) at 14
Him at 21-22
his looks haven't changed much and he can't change it much because he was already really close to his looks ceiling at 14 most of his flaws can't be changed without hardmaxing.
an example of a good looks ceiling
K shami
This was him before ascending he looked like hltn maybe lmtn on a good day.
Him at his prime
(Keep in mind his ascension is pretty frauded since he probably cherry picks his worst befores and best afters)
Looks like a low chadlite to me (debatable) he improved a lot unlike Sam
Why is that? The answer lies in their flaws in the before sam's flaws were his NCT eyebrow setness and shape which are all pretty hard to fix (especially his nct) k shami's biggest flaws were his face fat and bloting his skin and his under eyes which are all pretty easy to fix.
So how do you know how good your base is?
first - finding how good your looks floor is you do that by following this guide and applying it on your face before ascension.
Thread 'Definitive Facial Analysis Guide (EXTREMELY HIGH EFFORT TRUST)' https://looksmax.org/threads/definitive-facial-analysis-guide-extremely-high-effort-trust.2159444/
Now how do we find your looks ceiling?
Morph your picture of how you look before your ascension to how you should look after all the softmaxes or a few minor hardmaxes like rhino or hair transplant stuff like that but if you are doing it to someone who has already ascended just do the same but for the looks ceiling use their after. Then rate it using the guide above.
Your looks floor rating X 5.5 + your looks ceiling rating X 4.5 = x
X / 100 = your base rating
Example
5 X 5.5 + 7 X 4.5 = 59
59 / 100 = 5.9
Now you will probably be lower than the example because its a bell curve so a 6/10 base is really rare.
And that's it if you read all of this and did it hopefully you had fun.

1- your looks ceiling and looks floor are strongly connected if you have a good floor you probably have a great ceiling
2- your looks floor is more important than your looks ceiling (water) because if you have a good looks floor most likely you will have a good ceiling also because your looks ceiling may be hard to reach if you have good enough of a looks floor you won't need to even looksmax.
3- your looks ceiling is determined by your flaws the easier your biggest flaws are to fix the higher your looks ceiling is.
