How to know if a mirror is accurate or not?

How are you supposed to tell which mirrors are accurate? Each one looks very slightly different. Why do we all look good in bathroom mirrors? Are they accurate? And are gym mirrors usually distorted horizontally to make yourself look swole? Is the most accurate mirror the one we look best in?

i trust home mirrors more cause the mirrors I have at my house are decently expensive and I look the same in all of them but when I look at myself in school bathrooms I am completely distorted and look narrow. That school is cheap as fuck so the mirrors probably pieces of shit. even in car reflections and other windows my face looks the same as at home
