How to know if i am actually balding

I thought i started balding so i went to my barber to ask him and my barber said there is nothing to worry about but he also said that it got slightly thinner and very much softer. Me personally i dont see any hair falling out but i think i might be seeing a little bit of norwooding (im not sure)

My barber also said that my thinning and softening can be caused by my eczema
