How to know if people are real?!

Everyday you walk past hundreds of people, thousands even but are they real? Or mindless drones programmed to blend in? What if i interact with them, that would go against my natural routine as I wouldn’t interact with random people I walk past but if i break the routine and ask them a question would they be silent as they are not programmed/planned to speak to me, and if I touch them would my hand just phase through them

Assertive people are different though I find them interesting because they make themselves known and present differently
