HOW TO KNOW THAT YOUR FACE IS PROPERLY DEVELOPED (NOT A COMPLETE LIST)
1000062268

1. Chin: Filtrum Ratio → Chin-to-Philtrum Ratio
· Measurement: Chin height (from lower lip to tip) / filter length
· Goal: 2:1 — 2.5:1
· 2.5 — too long chin
· <1.8 — retrosion

2. Palate Width → Palatal Width (intermolar width)
· Measurement: The distance between the inner edges of the second molars
· Target: ≥40-42 mm (in men), ≥38 mm (in women)
· Narrow palate <34 mm → poor craniofacial pattern

3. Bite → Overjet/ Overbite (mm)
· Target: Overjet 2-3mm, Overbite 1-2 mm
· Class II / III — deducted from the assessment

4. Total FWHR (facial width–height ratio)
· Measurement: (Bizygomatic width) / (Morphological face height: nasion–gnathion)
· Target: 1.3–1.4
· Muscular/masculine is closer to 1.4

5. Compactness of the midface → Midface Ratio (Midface Compactness)
· Measurement: (Nasion–subnasale) / (Bizygomatic width)
· Goal: ~1:1 (0.95–1.05)
· It is often considered as Mc = interpupillary distance / midface height

6. Eye Tilt → Canthal Tilt (degrees)
· Measurement: The angle between the line of the medial and lateral canthus
· Target: +3° – +8° (positive)
· Negative tilt (<0°) — minus

7. FWHR of the middle part of the face → Midface FWHR
· Measurement: (Bizygomatic width) / (Nasion–subnasale)
· Target: 1.85–2.0

8. Gonial Angle → Gonial Angle (degrees)
· Measurement: The angle between the body and the mandible branch
· Target: ≤125°
· 120-125° — ideal
· 130° — "long face"/weak jaw

9. Eye Support → Infraorbital Rim Projection / Orbital Vector
· Measurement: Vertical position of the lower edge of the orbit relative to the pupil
· Target: Positive vector (the bone in front of the eye)

10. Eye distance → ICD : PW Ratio
· Measurement: Interpupillary / width of one eye (measured from medial canthus to lateral)
· Target: ≈ 1 :1 (1.95–2.05 for ICD in cm? No, more precisely:
Eye width ≈ the distance between the eyes)

11. Facial thirds → Equal Thirds (in % or mm)
· Measurement:
· Upper: Trichion–Glabella
· Middle: Glabella–Subnasale
· Bottom: Subnasale–Gnathion
· Target: Every third ±3% of 33.3%

Craniofacial bone structures are used as a basis, as they determine the basic proportions and architecture of the face. Soft tissues (lips, hair, skin, etc.) are variable and do not reflect skeletal development.

The more coincidences there are on points, the more harmonious the appearance is considered. If there is a match for less than 3 criteria, the face is usually considered ugly.
