HOW TO LARP NEUROTYPICALITY (EFFORT-POST)

Salience & Importance of LARPING NT. I have noticed a lot of guides on this mildly useful cesspool mainly focusing on the physical aspects of looksmaxxing, but recent events have shown that the psychological game is just as important. The reason that Clav doesn’t find a wife yet is because he’s incapable of acting like a normal and well adjusted person. I’m not saying that looks don’t matter, because they clearly fucking do, coming from a former (jury’s still out) chud. However, personality/ability to fraud neurotypicality is a prerequisite for the success we are all trying to achieve, whether it is securing a relationship, professional success, or even creating friends. I have a theory that most self-described and non-officially-diagnosed “autists” are not truly autistic, but did not have sufficient social exposure and experiences growing up. This may be also affected by other adverse events growing up like bullying or deprivation. The corollary of this principle is that providing yourself with the social experiences that you never had can correct some of your problems.

Here, I will elucidate some of the methods that I have used to dechudify my social life.

Mimicry. There’s a reason that this shit is a thing in the animal kingdom. I grew up getting bullied in elementary through high school because I wouldn’t act like the other guys, because I wasn’t good at sports and I had rather weird interests. Since starting university a while ago now, I’ve been able to analyze how neurotypical people act and communicate with one another in both social and academic settings, so I started replicating their mannerisms. This works even better if you use that same friend group’s mannerisms back at them, but be careful with this strategy because overdoing can make you look even more ND. Also, you may run the risk of no longer acting like yourself, which may be socially draining and alienate people you already know. As always, use your best judgement and don’t be a retard.

Exposure therapy works. Odds are that if you also struggle with being NT like me you also identify as an introvert. This solution works across all types of relationships you are trying to form across each domain. The fundamental skills of understanding other people, identifying mutual interests, and building connections with them doesn’t change whether you’re at a football game, a date night, or a Fortune 500 CEO’s office. I’m not suggesting that you cold approach random women to ask for their number (which works for some, and to each their own), but you should strike up conversations with people whether they’re your classmates, cashiers, professors, or random people that you could envision yourself being friends with or more.

Bullies are secretly giving you a gift. I condemn bullying, and on multiple occasions, it has led me to ponder ending my own life. When you do end up ascending, follow Androgenic’s words and don’t be a dick about it. However, every tactic they create in order to harass you is mostly something that is capable of being fixed through personal action. If you are telling a series of cringe-ass fucking knock-knock jokes at a party, this is not NT, far out of the realm of acceptable social interaction, and the bullies will surely point that out to your face. After they do that, you can either go into a corner and cry your eyes out with self pity (tried, doesn’t work) OR go back out there and try acting differently in groups (tried, does work). One thing that helps is seeing how other people (well-adjusted people) act in their normal social lives. This method of feedback works wonderfully for the realm of looks as well, because getting made fun of for being fat or short can instigate you into a cut or start wearing lifts respectively.

Yes, and? I took acting classes in high school, and I learned more than I would have otherwise thought. One of the key facets of improvisation is a stereotype/trite saying of “yes, and?” When a character says a line, the other actor in the improv scene asks themselves that question to confirm the presupposition that the other laid out and to develop the scene with further detail and/or comedic potential. You ought to use this principle in your social interactions to listen to what other people are saying and ask them further questions. Bonus points if you incorporate something that they just said or better yet, your own knowledge into the follow-up question. Continue doing this, and if they are interested in the conversation they will eventually begin applying the same principle for you, wittingly or not.

TLDR; talk to more people, listen to them and see how they act.

A better world is possible. Keep your head up, and remember that the "another life" that Katy Perry talks about is this one.
