I checked out recently at 1118 ngdl

My Doctor said it is too high. I told him I started increasing strength training in the gym, pushing myself to the limits and have been practicing complete semen retention for quite a while

He said I should get re-tested cuz T levels fluctuate throughout the day. And also I should try and get it in the 900 range

He said you can control it to go lower. Just like how I was able to bring it up, it can be brought down too

Fyi he made it clear a constant 1118 ngdl and + is NOT a good thing. Contrary to what many people believe. Apparently it increases stress exposure and telomere loss

Interesting. Do you think that your high t is purely a result of your genes, or do you think that it can be partly attributed to some recent lifestyle changes?

Its a mix of both
You can be genetically predisposed to high T but still end up with lower testosterone levels

One thing many people here don't acknowledge is that the reason average testosterone levels have decreased so much is because there is no purpose for them to be high . You are sitting at your desk office job all day; not fighting in the jungle or a war for your life. Why should your T levels be high?
Man is supposed to have low T in this day and age. Its not a limitation, its evolution

I would say anyone can have high T but he needs to factor his environment to be that way. I remember seeing a study that showed on average country folks had higher T than their city counterparts. Just goes to show

So yeah I do think most people can be high T. But sitting all day, going to the gym in your air conditioned car, watching porn or highly sexualised videos all day, does not help . And our environment will always limit us. This is the price of comfort.

Yeah but there are also endocrine disrupting chemicals nuking t levels found in plastic, foods… If you think that your lifestyle played a big role, have You made any drastic changes in your lifestyle besides abstinence and gym that could lead to higher t levels. do you take peds? Do you supplement?, Do you do a sport? Do you compete? …..

Yes I have 1355 testosterone (confirmed) and also want to lower it as there’s no benefits

Maybe I’ll take topical estrogen soap?

don't listen to your retarded doctor.

That's absurd
Steroid users stay at supraphysiological levels like 3000 ng/dL in a pulsating rythm
While you have natty. Do not suppress your natural production, it might be your biggest genetic advantage

TESTOSTERONE is the second most significant factor we have found in growing Telomeres longer.

My dad has above 1000 ng/dl (repeated measurements) at 70yo with no training. He doesn’t look like it either (he is not buff or lean etc). There is a huge genetic complement. There are at least 250 gene variants that predispose you to high total T. Having those high T genes elevate your risk of developing prostate cancer in older age by 15% (not a a big number) while also decreasing your chance of developing metabolic syndrome. It’s neither good nor bad. It also has to do with your AR density and polymorphism in the AR (maybe CAG repeats or sth else) that determines transcriptional output for a given AR/testosterone binding event etc. so maybe some people just need less to operate optimally and everything should be based off of symptoms not numbers in blood test.
