First you'll need to buy the amino acid, tryptophan, which can be purchased on amazon or elsewhere, then head to your local health food store, and buy some spearmint oil, this contains carvone which will be our ketone catalyst for the decarboxylation reaction to get our tryptamine.
Add 15 grams of tryptophan to 150ml of spearmint oil, heat and stir at 180C until the solution becomes completely clear.
The best way to work this up is to add an indiscriminate amount of benzoic acid to for the benzoic salt of tryptamine.
