How to make hair lighter

Are there any ways to make your hair color lighter without damaging it? I know chemical bleaching is very harsh on the hair so i was hoping there are some other ways to make hair lighter. I already have pretty light hair so I only need a little more for it to look dirty blonde, bleaching would be overkill and not worth the side effects imo

do highlights and use a good conditioner, highlights dont do almost damage to the hair

lowkey sitting out in the sun for a long time in a high spf will lighten it and probably not damage it
