The main problem is that it's unlikely to create any major changes to upper maxillary region besides on kids. The forces produced by these appliances are mostly distributed on the lower maxilla (palate). MSE would be much more useful for narrowlipcells.

There's like nowhere to fastened that too. Your best shot would be loosening the sutures in upper maxilla. I've heard chewing can do that though ion know the validity of that. Also heard consuming lots of milk can lubricate bone sutures.
