hello tuff folks im gonna give u a way to talk with ur surgeon (mostly omfs) cuz most of yall need to get your surgeries more aesthetically prioritised but are too autistic to even talk with ur surgeon
if u larped sleep apnea or did whatever and youre finally at the final boss’s room heres how to make them comply with you
NEVER USE TECHNICAL LANGUAGE INSTEAD USE CASUAL LANGUAGE AND DESCRIPTIONS ALOT!!
heres a guide on how to be sneaky and how to use casual language instead of technical:
1 ACT oblivious and curious about what theyre doing and ask them what theyre going to do with ur surgery
2 after they fully explained what theyre gonna do describe ur concern using casual language to make the surgeon identify the problem by themselves (u need to make them conclude by themselves because all ppl trust their conclusions over others
)
3 theyre probably gonna start explaining what they can do abt this and if they didnt mention the treatment u were looking for, describe it to them and tell them that you saw it online to pressure them into considering
the online part is optional its just to make u look less suspicious
scenario of u with the omf
:
lets say u have bad undereye support & a recessed midface and u want a high cut lefort1 to get some of the infra region and fix ur cheek vector
instead of saying that u want a quadrangular lefort 1 sneak around and ask to see the 3d simulation of the ur jaws to see wheres the cutting plane is gonna start then ask them to point out where the cut is gonna start on your face. if the cutting plane of the maxilla is low and obviously not gonna affect ur infras tell ur surgeon that youre afraid of ur face looking weird because the area above the cut is alr “sunken”(im using sunken to replace recessed, the vocab replacements are in spoiler) and will look more sunken relative to the rest of the face after the surgery and that u want them to cut higher to avoid this issue
show them this pic if u want it that bad lmao

so yeah moral of the story use that brain of yours to translate facial ratios and technical language into normal language

the reason is that surgeons are normal people like me and you they HAVE EGOS so when u use technical language around them it can make them feel cringed and kinda pressed that ur talking as if u were the surgeon even tho u dont even have alot of experience in this field and tbh its make u look weird and increases the chances of them not taking ur suggestions into account but all of this doesnt mean they dont give a fuck abt what u say, tell them what u want but in a sneaky way with casual language to make them draw conclusions themselves!

:i have a severe radix recession so futurely when i go to my surgeon im gonna tell them that im afraid about how setback my nose bridge will look relative to my face after they advance my jaws hoping that i’ll make them consider giving me a lefort 2 and fix my brutal nasomaxillary recession or atleast give me a rhino covered by the hospital and not outta pocket

VOCAB REPLACEMENTS
instead of reutrusion/protrusion say going in/ sticking out
instead of recessed say sunken
instead of projecting say moving it forward
instead of mandible say lower jaw
instead of maxilla say upper jaw
instead of bringing up any ratio just describe it
instead of infra/supraorbital say bone under/above my eyes
instead of radix say nose bridge
instead of zygos say cheekbones
