there are a lot of misconceptions of how to measure certain measurements in the face and I will tell you now what ACTUALLY are the correct ways to measure including ALL front profile measurements ( excluding BS like forehead Width to Height Ratio)
1. IPD
Pretty simple you measure the distance between the pupils and divide it by your widest part of the Zygos ( Cheekbones )
2. FACIAL THIRDS
the lower third should be from the bottom of your nose to the lowest part of your chin. The middle third from the bottom of the nose to the MID-Brow and from there to your hairline is the upper third
3. CANTHAL TILT
you go from the inner eye corner to your outer eye corner.
4. FWHR
You divide the distance between the widest part of your Cheekbones by the distance between the upper lip ( from the 2 peaks NOT from the GAP between them ) and the MID-BROW ( NOT THE LOWEST PART OF THE EYEBROWS )
5. JAW-FRONTAL-ANGLE
you locate the widest part of your chin and the widest part of your gonions ( the jaw shouldnt exceed the line between the widest part of your chin and the gonion )
here is a good example how to measure
6. CHEEKBONE HEIGHT
you divide the distance between your upper lip and your cheekbone line ( where your cheekbones are the most prominent ) and divide it by the distance between your eye line and your upper lip
7. TOTAL FACE HEIGHT TO WIDTH RATIO
you divide your face height ( bottom of the chin to hairline ) by your bizygomatic width
8. BIGONIAL WIDTH
you divide the distance between the widest part of your gonions by your bizygomatic width ( on average the widest parts of the gonions are where the mouth sits but can differ from person to person )
what I mean by "the mouth line"
9. CHIN TO PHILTUM RATIO
you divide the distance between your lower lip and bottom of your chin by the distance between your upper lip and by --> ( again placements differ for consistency take the part where your nostrils and the corners of your nose end
see that tiny line? thats the line Im referring to but again placements can differ
10. NECK WIDTH
you divide the distance between the widest part of your neck ( should be at least half the neck height not lower ) by your bigonial width
11. MOUTH WIDTH TO NOSE WIDTH RATIO
you divide your mouth width ( NOT LIP WIDTH ) by your nose width
12. MIDFACE RATIO
you divide the distance between your eyes by the line from your upper lip and your eye line
13. EYEBROW POSITION RATIO
you divide your eye height by the distance between your eye pupil and the lowest part of your eyebrows
14. EYE SPACING RATIO
you divide your eye width ( INCLUDING LASHES ! ) by the distance between your eyes
15. EYE ASPECT RATIO
you divide your eye width by your eye height
16. LOWER LIP TO UPPER LIP RATIO
you divide your lower lip height by your upper lip height
17. MEDIAL CANTHAL ANGLE
you locate the inner corner of your eye and locate the points where the inner corner angle is the sharpest ( in some people it goes to the eye pupil in some its just the medial canthus that is sharp )
example of very sharp inner eye corners
here is a regular inner eye corner
18. IPSELATERAL ALAR ANGLE
its the angle from your eye corners ( INCLUDING THE EYELASHES ) to the bottom of your nose
19. EYEBROW TILT
the angle from the top of the inner brow to the highest part of the outer brow
20. BITEMPORAL WIDTH
you divide the distance between your hairlines widest part by your bizygomatic width
21. LOWER THIRD PROPORTION
you divide the distance between the bottom of your nose and your mouth line by the distance between the bottom of your nose and the bottom of your chin
ask if you got any questions
