Sup bros,
today I wanna teach you how to take another measurement, the Zygomatic width to nose width ratio (ZNR). Let's start with our favourite subject Sean O'Pry.
Using a ruler with cm or any other tool of measurement, we can figure out his zygomatic width and nose width. Dividing the width of the zygos by the width of the nose, we get a ratio of 4.25.
I thought about using Jordan Barrett as another example, but his wide face would make his ratio be an outlier, so I decided to go with Froy Gutierrez.
Measuring everything again, his ratio sits at exactly 4. Generally being somewhere around 4 is ideal, you don't want your nose to be too narrow or wide in comparison to your zygomatic width.
How to measure it yourself:
When taking the measurement you don't really wanna use a picture of yourself, as that can be not 100% accurate, instead put your head between a sliding door and close it as far as possible, then measure the gap between it. For your nose width stand around 20cm away from your mirror, close 1 eye and then put your ruler to the furthest point of your nose on one side above the nostrils and measure to the other side.
Good ratios:
We determined that a very good ratio is around 4. Huge deviations from it might make your nose look Negroid-like or like it was pressed together by a rolling pin. Incel tier ratios are a big detriment to your looks, you wanna be at 3.5 minimum and 4.5 maximum.
What to do if you are in incel tier ZNR?
Surgery is obviously the easiest solution. Find out what the actual problem is: Is your nose really wide, or your zygomatic width too narrow, or is it the other way around? Compare your measurements to others. If your nose has a normal width then you gotta work on the Zygos. For those I would recommend Eppley implants or getting a bilateral zygomatic osteotomy. If your nose is abnormal then obviously try to get it fixed by rhinoplasty. If you can't get surgery quickly, I would recommend bonesmashing on your zygos to give you some advancement and if you want to see a change in your nose you can either put something in your nostrils that will widen them a bit, like a small pin or frown a bit in your nose area all day to give it a slightly narrower appearance.
Final words:
A good or bad ZNR can make or break a face. Your nose, compared to your zygomatic width, can end up looking like a gorilla nose or like it got pressed together on both sides if it's too narrow. Try to work on making your ZNR better and plan your other surgeries according to this.
