You have to make yourself stand out. Being average and unmemorable is the worst.

I used to opt out of conversations and social groups as well as I found it too exhausting and was constantly overthinking stuff. It is your choice what you do but once I started talking to people and joining friend groups I've never felt happier or as fulfilled.

Unfortunately most people are superficial. There aren’t many people who could potentially be true friends.
