Title. I am Russian and I have a dream about moving to the United States with my girlfriend, so marriage with an American woman is not a top priority. Though I’d say if I had to choose between US citizenship and her, I would choose the first.
But anyways, let’s consider a hard path.
I save up money and get a shit ton from my parents, they give me 20k dollars first year of let’s say a community college because tuition is like what 7k a year? I believe? A place to live idk 500 monthly or less with roommates? So let’s say I’ll have 2 roommates in a small house of Kansas that is 600 per month, (found one as an example)water sewers and trash expenses included. 600*12/3=2 400 a year plus gas and electricity.(600 bucks times 12 months divided by 3 tenants) Let’s just say 3k a year
Food let’s assume giant food bags for wholesale price cuts, like rice bags and potato bags and just a bit of fruit, uhhh let’s say 3k a year? 3000$/365days=8,21$ a day seems okay for a semi-bum.
Soooo 7000+3000+3000=13 000 annually
Anyways I need to survive and save up for higher education for a bachelors degree in a STEM field so maybe I can work for 3 years, hope my employer does the H-1B visa lottery application for me for 3 years straight, wish I win it and continue to work, extend the visa and pray PERM works out and I get a green card
Working as an international student off campus legally requires some crazy bureacracy cpt shit or maybe part time opt but I don’t want pre completion opt it will shorten my post completion one. So depending on wageslaving for money is not an option.
What do I even do to have 30 40 thousand dollars a year man? Without working due to incapability?
Do I just try trading my love for a citizenship card? Do I just chain an American girl?
