So I'm thinking of trying a self tanning lotion for the face and arms to get a nicer complexion, however I don't want to have it get too dark so it looks obvious. Any tips for how to apply it and regulate this? I'm considering buying the "mild-tan" one, but tbh I think the effects of that one don't seem noticeable enough, ffs even the model on the package got any noticeable difference..

How often do you have to reapply?
Should you exclude some parts of the face?
Do you apply to your neck and forearms aswell so it doesn't appear obvious?

Why don‘t you just get a real tan? Tanning salons are closed where I live due to covid lockdown but maybe they‘re not where you live

Exfoliate your whole body and moisturize before adding the tanning lotion. If not it will look patchy and obviously fake. Also, make sure the tanning solution is a gradual one so you can choose how dark you want to be.

Sounds like a silly question but if your wearing gradual tan, can you still pick up a sun tan underneath?

St. Tropez has tans where you rinse them with water either 1, 2 or 3 hours after applying. That's when you choose how intense it will be.

Yes, you can still tan underneath. It doesn't affect how your skin converts the sun rays into melanin
